About Rhacophorus reinwardtii:
Fun Facts: This species is commonly known as the black-webbed flyting treefrog, blue-webbed treefrog, blue webbed gliding frog, green flying frog, Reinwardt's flying frog, or Reinwardt's tree frog. It can be either light or dark green, with distinctive black spots on its back and head.
Location & Habitat: The species is now primarily found in Java, Indonesia, with unconfirmed reports from Manipur and Sikkim, India. Its natural habitat includes subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests, montane forests, freshwater marshes, and seasonal freshwater marshes.
Breeding: This frog is an explosive breeder, descending from the canopy only occasionally to gather at breeding pools. It creates foam nests by secreting a mucous-like foam, which it attaches to the undersides of leaves and branches overhanging water.
Behavior: As a canopy-dwelling species, it spends most of its time high in the forest. Breeding occurs in foam nests built above pools and ponds within forested areas.
